John M. Woodworth

Commissioned as Assistant Surgeon in May of 1862, he was promoted to Surgeon in January of 1863.  He later served as Head Surgeon for the 15th Corp. serving on James B. McPherson's staff.  He ended his army career as a Brevet Lieutenant Colonel.
